About 1Money
1Money is building the world's first full-stack stablecoin Layer 1 payment network, orchestration layer, and issuance platform. We enable enterprises, financial institutions, and global businesses to settle payments instantly, with full compliance, transparency, and security. Our mission is to reduce the cost of money movement globally and increase the earning power of our customers by combining regulatory-grade infrastructure with innovative payment technology.
Job Description
1Money is hiring its second information security team member. This is a rare opportunity to join a lean, fast-moving fintech at the ground floor and co-own a broad security portfolio from day one. You will work directly alongside our CISO, covering a wide range of objectives across cloud security, application security, detection and response, identity, and compliance engineering. Over time, you will have the freedom and support to develop a primary specialty in the area that energizes you most. If you want to build something real, work on hard problems, and leave your fingerprints on a security program that actually matters, this role is for you.
Job Responsibilities
  • Application & Product Security:
    • Partner with engineering to embed security into the SDLC.
    • Conduct threat modeling, design reviews, and code-level security assessments.
    • Manage vulnerability disclosure, dependency scanning, and CI/CD tooling.
  • Cloud & Infrastructure Security:
    • Harden and monitor AWS environments.
    • Manage and tune cloud security posture tools and respond to findings.
    • Support architectural reviews for new services and infrastructure changes.
  • Detection, Response & SIEM:
    • Build and tune detection rules across SIEM, EDR, cloud, and app logs.
    • Lead incident investigations, triage alerts, and drive response activities.
    • Develop playbooks and runbooks to reduce response times.
  • Identity & Endpoint:
    • Administer and evolve identity infrastructure including SSO, MFA, and FIDO2/passkey controls.
    • Support MDM policies and endpoint security controls for a distributed Mac fleet.
    • Drive network security initiatives for a fully remote workforce.
  • Compliance Engineering:
    • Translate compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001) into actionable technical controls.
    • Integrate evidence collection and control validation into engineering workflows.
    • Partner with the CISO on audit preparation and regulatory engagements.
Qualifications
Required:
  • 5+ years of experience in hands-on security engineering.
  • Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals, particularly AWS.
  • Experience with at least two of: appsec, detection engineering, identity, cloud posture, or incident response.
  • Ability to read and write code in at least one language (Rust, TypeScript, Go, or similar).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working in a fast-moving startup environment.
Bonus Factors
  • Familiarity with stablecoin or blockchain security.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, or digital assets.
  • Certifications such as OSCP, CISSP, AWS Security Specialty, or similar.
  • Background in building security tooling or automation.
