Overview

1USD is a U.S. dollar–denominated payment stablecoin issued by 1Money USA, Inc. (“1Money”). Each 1USD token is designed to maintain a one-to-one value with the U.S. dollar and is fully backed on at least a one-to-one basis by reserves. 1USD is built to function as reliable, programmable money for payments and on-chain settlement.

Trust & Compliance

Trust and compliance are the foundation of 1USD. 1USD is issued by a regulated U.S. money services business. Every token is fully backed on at least a one-to-one basis, and our compliance program is built around the obligations of a FinCEN-registered money services business and state-licensed money transmitter, including BSA/AML, sanctions screening, and applicable consumer-protection standards.

  • Issued by a FinCEN-registered money services business, licensed as a money transmitter or its jurisdictional equivalent where required.
  • Currently regulated under state money-transmission law, and designed to be issued and regulated as a payment stablecoin under the GENIUS Act.
  • Fully reserved, with reserves held in cash and short-dated U.S. dollar assets of the categories permitted under the applicable stablecoin terms.
  • Subject to a comprehensive BSA/AML and sanctions compliance program.

Reserves

1USD is fully backed on at least a one-to-one basis. For each 1USD issued and outstanding, 1Money holds one U.S. dollar or an equivalent amount of U.S. dollar-denominated reserve assets. Reserves may consist of cash and short-dated U.S. dollar assets of the categories permitted under the applicable stablecoin terms, selected for safety and liquidity, so that 1USD can be redeemed for its dollar value.

Mint & Redeem Mechanics

Eligible, onboarded participants mint 1USD by delivering acceptable funds to 1Money. Upon receipt and clearance of those funds, an equivalent amount of 1USD is issued to the participant’s designated wallet address.

1USD is issued against U.S. dollars at a rate of one 1USD per one U.S. dollar. 1USD may also be obtained by exchanging supported digital assets, including USDC, at the exchange rate 1Money determines at the time of conversion, which may include a spread or fee.
